NAESC Illustrative Mathematics High School, Curriculum and Instruction Training Year 1



Are you looking for a new curriculum that meets the rigorous demands of our state standards? This training will introduce you to a FREE resource provided by Open Up Resources and Kendall Hunt called Illustrative Mathematics High School Math Curriculum.
This curriculum provides:
• Vertical alignment 
• Supports for English Learners and Students with Disabilities built into the teacher notes
• Student-friendly goals and learning targets before and after each lesson to focus learning.
• Diagnostic and End-of-Unit Assessments, as well as Mid-Unit assessments for longer units.
• Instruction Routines that promote a culture of learning and growth mindset.
Each day of training focuses on the main components of implementing a new curriculum:
• Day 1 - A Focus on the Resource - A Look at the Curriculum and its Coherence
• Day 2 - A Focus on Pedagogy - Implementing the Curriculum
