DSC Making Your Mid School/Secondary Social Studies Class Accessible and Engaging to Kids!

Do you ever hear students say that they don't like history or that social studies is boring? For those of us that love it, that seems impossible! This session is all about making your social studies class content available to kids and interesting to them. We will address discussion techniques, smart questioning, note taking, varied class structure, framing/supporting arguments and postions and critiquing the arguments of others. If you are a 5-12 social studies teacher interested in sharing ways with your colleagues to make your class more relevant to your students, come join us.
