DSC Teaching Reading and Writing Through Art

What can art appreciation teach us about literature? Can illustrations have a powerful impact and be a first approach to teaching writing? Can the arts support the growth of academic language? Absolutely! This workshop is an opportunity for elementary teachers to learn how to use art to engage students in reading and writing. Come and experience an engaging and creative way to increase literacy achievement in your classroom.
