Perkins V State Stakeholder Meeting

The Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act, now called Perkins V, brings changes to the $1.2 billion annual federal investment in Career and Technical Education.  The purpose of the Act is to develop more fully the academic knowledge, career and technical, and employability skills of secondary and post-secondary students.  In preparation for developing the State Plan for Perkins V, stakeholder meetings will be held across the state to facilitate dialogue and gather valuable input from a variety of stakeholders to include: School Administrators, Counselors, CTE Teachers, Academic Teachers, Post-Secondary Partners, Workforce Investment Boards, Business/Industry, Parents, Students, Representatives of Special Populations and local agencies serving out-of-school youth, homeless children and youth, at-risk youth and tribal organization as defined by ESEA.   Please join us to share your insight and ideas on preparing students for their next step toward a future career.
