AFESC--Harvard CS50 AP Computer Science Principles Professional Development (30+ hours)



The Harvard CS50 AP Computer Science Principles Professional Development week, announced by the Arkansas Department of Education Office of Computer Science at http://adecm.arkansas.gov/ViewApprovedMemo.aspx?Id=3971, will take place on July 22-26, 2019 at the Arch Ford Educational Service Cooperative in Plumerville, Arkansas. It is open at no registration cost to up to 70 Arkansas educators. The week-long training will include the three-day Harvard CS50 AP endorsed training and two days of computer science and PRAXIS preparation training provided by Arkansas Computer Science Specialists. As this is a unique training provided in part by an outside entity, each day of training will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.; Monday and Friday will end at 4:00 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday training days may be extended to last until 7:00 p.m. Successful completion of the entirety of all 5 days is required to receive the 5016 and 5017 Computer Science Approval Codes good through 2020/21.
