SCSC-Debi West (The Art of Ed): Assigning to Assessing in the Art Room!

Debi West is a longtime art educator and advocate and is currently an author for The Art of Ed and a consultant working with teachers to implement project-based learning. Ms. West is from Georgia: https://theartofeducation.edu/author/debiwesttheartofed-com/. This CPR workshop (commitment, passion, and reflection) will include curriculum designing for K-12, including activities called Elements of Art Ice Cream Cone and Visualizing Vocabulary. It will also include a summative assessment bookmaking lesson and visual journaling. Come learn about everything from assigning to assessing! This workshop will be livestreamed to educational service co-operatives. Information about attending the live presentation at the Windgate Center for Art and Design at UALR can be found by contacting the Arkansas Art Educators Association at ararted.org (Connect/Contact Us). TESS components addressed include 1b, 2d, 3c.

Important Session Information:

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price.
