Stop the Bleed

Stop the Bleed Training will be presented to participants addressing control of massive hemorrhage, using tourniquets, and would packing methods.  In response to increased gun violence and mass casualty events in the country, the White House and the Department of Homeland Security created "Stop the Bleed", a national campaign to help improve survival from life-threatening bleeding.  In trauma-related emergencies, the top cause of preventable death is bleeding.  Twenty percent of people who have died from traumatic injuries could have survived with proper bleeding control.

Stop the Bleed is a nationwide awareness campaign intended to prevent life-threatening bleeding emergencies.  It is crucial for bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to quickly and effectively stop blood loss until professional help arrives.
