DSC-HSU STEM Biology Teacher Workshop



The Biology Teacher Workshops include CONTENT professional development in units of biology, NETWORKING opportunities with other biology teachers from around the state, hands-on LABORATORIES using both economical and cutting edge approaches, and PEDAGOGY approaches that motivate, engage and reach ALL students using latest and the tried-and-true approaches. The workshops are organized with remedial, basic and advanced content for general, Pre-AP or AP classes. Both beginning and veteran teachers will find their memories refreshed, understanding improved and spirit rejuvenated by benefiting from the latest updated content and methods that use the latest technological advances such as Pear Decks and Quizlet live. All teachers will receive all of the material in the form of handouts and digital google folders as well as equipment and kits to be able to carry-out hands on laboratories in their classrooms.
