NAESC Wellness and What is Next?
The wellness and what is next workshop will cover health and wellness district and school improvement priorities and school health index, in addition, new procedures, and deadline for reporting will also be discussed. This training will also cover wellness policies and committee responsibilities. Ref. CM-LS-19-079 The UAMS School Telemedicine in Arkansas (STAR) program is the first ever effort to bring telemedicine care to Arkansas’s rural School Based Health Centers (SBHC) by providing real-time on-the-spot care. STAR's primary focus is on these three issues; HealthyNOW!, Behavioral Health, and Oral Health. This workshop will include information regarding opioid use and misuse, emerging tobacco and electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) or more commonly known as JUUL's.
