This session is intended for K-2  and other Elementary , Special Ed teachers that need an understanding of how children learn to read. This session will be Days 1-3 of the K-2 RISE Academy (Reading Initiative for Student Excellence).  The RISE Academy is a six-day professional development opportunity for Arkansas educators focused on scientific-based reading practices for the teaching of phonological awareness,phonics,vocabulary,fluency, and comprehension.  Days 1-3 of the RISE Academy for this cohort of participants will be offered this summeron July 9th, 10, and 11th. Participants should register for and attend all three days.  Follow-up days 4-6 will be scheduled at a later date.
