SCSC - Special Education Classroom-Structured Teaching Boot Camp



Structured Teaching is an evidence-based approach to instructing students with Autism. This approach will also benefit students with ADHD, OCD, learning impairments, communication disorders, and hearing impairments. Structured Teaching is a system for organizing student environments, developing appropriate activities, and helping students understand what is expected of them. There are five major components to structured teaching, including physical organization/visual boundaries, schedules, routines, work systems, and task organization. For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price.
