The DESE is providing support to districts regarding Act 1082. This work session with district leadership/school leadership teams will help districts review and or revise their current school improvement plans and district support plans.
Leadership teams may include (Superintendent, Building Principals, Curriculum Director, Literacy Coach/Facilitator, Federal Programs Director, anyone the district/school would like to attend).
Attendees should bring computer, current School Level Improvement Plans, current District Support Plan, information regarding current curriculum - including resources, information about current practices, current list of Science of Reading professional learning (know the pathway(s) your teachers are attending), 3-10th grade ACT Aspire Reading Data (approximate number of students receiving dyslexia services/interventions, number of students receiving other types of reading interventions).
