The DESE is providing support to districts regarding Act 1082. This work session with district leadership/ school leadership teams will help districts review and/or revise their current school improvement plans and district support plans.
Leadership teams may include : Superintendent, Building Principals, Curriculum Director, Literacy Coach/Facilitator, and Federal Programs Director (or anyone the district/school would like to attend). Attendees should bring computer, current School Level Improvement Plans, current District Support Plan, information regarding current curriculum - including resources, information about current practices, current list of Science of Reading professional learning (know the pathway[s] your teachers are attending), 3-10th grade ACT Aspire Reading Data. This data should include approximate number of students receiving dyslexia services/interventions and number of students receiving other types of reading interventions.
