NWAESC(2246)---TALENTS: Special Education Novices PLC - Day 1
Novice Special Education Teachers will meet to spend the day learning various ways to more effectively manage their classrooms, help their students develop a culture of respect, rapport and learning, and to have their questions answered by an experienced special educator. (Focus will be on Domain 2.) This first day with novices will also introduce them to guide books with which they'll work all year to improve their skills in the classroom. The follow-up to this book will be both online with the SPED Mentor and in 3 subsequent face-to-face sessions throughout the year. Each participant will receive a copy of The Survival Guide for New Special Education Teachers or 10 Critical Components for Success in the Special Education Classroom and High-Leverages Practices in Special Education Focus: Social/Emotional and Behavioral and Collaboration. There is NO cost for this forum. Lunch is included.
