SCSC - Day 4 A K-2 R.I.S.E. Academy



K-2 R.I.S.E. Academy is a year-long blended learning professional development. The training will provide educators with an in depth knowledge related to the science of reading, evidence-based instructional strategies and making data-based decisions for ALL students. Day 4 will equip teachers with a better understanding of the individual yet supportive skills that together contribute to reading ability and encompass the five reading components. Participants will understand how fluency is often a neglected and misunderstood component.  TESS components addressed for this workshop include:  1A, 1E, and 3D.

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of
