K-2 R.I.S.E. Academy is a year-long blended learning professional development. The training will provide educators with an in depth knowledge related to the science of reading, evidence-based instructional strategies, and making data-based decisions for ALL students. Day 6 A/Day 6B will focus on comprehension being the end result of decoding and language comprehension. All five components of reading will be reviewed and comprehension will be discussed in depth. Participants will also be expected to participate in a blended learning community throughout the year with coaching and collaboration.
