OUR/ADE Science of Reading (SoR) Morphology
Participants will learn essential practices for teaching and learning new words, including how morphology and etymology instruction supports decoding, vocabulary development, and comprehension in each content area. This Science of Reading session fulfills the Morphology component for Proficiency Pathway D and is designed to help content teachers teach students to get excited about word learning. This session is targeted for grades 3-6, but the information can be adapted to meet the needs of struggling high school learners as well.
