Ready to take the next step in your science instruction? Ready to move from planning lessons to developing units of study and formative assessments? This two-day work session will provide educators with the knowledge, tools, and resources to develop grade/course-specific science units. Follow-up support, including the development of formative assessment tasks, will be available throughout the school year. Individual teachers and grade-level teams are welcome. Two 6-hour sessions. Participation in this session meets the ADE requirement for Pre-Advanced Placement science (Pre-AP) teacher certification or re-certification for middle school, junior high, or high school teachers. It is recommended that participants have attended the Introduction to the Standards session and Day One of Unit Development.
You may bring your own device or use one of ours. Lunch is on your own. Participants may bring existing unit lessons/plans for analysis and revision if desired.
