SCSC - Shifting Small Group Instruction to Match the Science of Reading (2-DAY TRAINING)



Teachers will examine essential assessments from K-2 R.I.S.E. to more effectively organize, plan, and deliver small group instruction to meet the diverse needs of students while targeting the progression of phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency. Participants will walk away with effective strategies that match the science of reading to meet the individual needs of students during small group instructional time Days 1-6 of K-2 R.I.S.E. Academy are required.  
TESS components addressed: 1A, 3C, and 3D.

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of 

cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any trainings.
