AFESC--Everything You Need to Know About Teaching Percussion for the Non-Percussionist, Zoom session

All Things Percussion: in this Zoom session we will look at all of the percussion equipment in my band room and learn all of the repair and maintenance you can be doing in yours. We will look at things like mallet selection, playing techniques, instructional strategies and pedagogy for teaching percussion students. Helpful but not required materials would be: paper to take notes, sticks and practice pad, a rubber mallet with some yarn, a timpani mallet that needs to be re-covered, and a list of questions about repair needs you might have in your band room. All information will also be provided to you in digital form.

This session will be via zoom. If possible, along with your computer, please have available paper, pen, and phone. For the best learning experience, we ask that participants keep their cameras on and stay muted unless speaking.
