AFESC--K-5 Instructional Math Routines, Zoom session



This 6 hour virtual session will consist of online  pd and independent work. . In this session teachers will dive deep into the implementation and planning of  instructional math routines. Having clearly defined routines for interactions and discourse supports students' engagement in mathematical practices and their learning of mathematics content. These routines will support students’ language and engagement with mathematical learning while supporting justification and explanation and modeling skills needed for state testing. Participants will have opportunities to plan instructional routines in grade level teams.. Participants are encouraged to bring curriculum resources, planning documents and an electronic device to this training.
