AFESC--Illustrative Mathematics (6-8), Zoom session



This is a One Day Virtual Session.Getting to know the IM curriculum requires taking a deeper look at what the curriculum offers as well as how you can be more efficient in your use of it! Continue your efforts to support the Arkansas Department of Education’s vision to lead the nation in student-focused education! We will create a community of math teachers who will become resources and support for each other as you implement this innovative curriculum, which continues to be provided at no cost by Open Up Resource and Kendall Hunt called Illustrative Mathematics 6-8 Math Curriculum.
This  training includes the following areas of focus: 
  - Establishing a Culture of Learning
  - Efficient and Effective Lesson Planning - Addressing the “time” issue
  - Understanding the purposes and uses of various math tools
  - Understanding the mathematics modeling process
  - Assessing and Differentiating Instruction - RTI Tier 1 embedded differentiation
Note: This session is for new and current users of the curriculum!
