Inclusive classrooms of today should ensure ALL students have equal access to the general education curriculum as well as social-emotional learning. The high leverage practices of collaboration, explicit instruction, engagement, ongoing feedback, and scaffolding, delivered with a high level of proficiency, will provide the tools needed to create success for all learners. The Arkansas Co-Teaching team will deliver an interactive presentation that focuses on instructional formats, assessment tools, specially designed instruction, and how to build a collaborative team. Participants will leave with many strategies, tools, and resource for instant implementation in the classroom. The session is appropriate for special educators, general educators, and administrators who are new to co-teaching or those who would like a refresher. We also encourage instructional facilitators and others who support these teachers to attend.
TESS components addressed include: 3c, 2b, 2c.
