SWAEC- The Diverse and Unknown History of Colonial America



In this session, participants will gain a new perspective on Colonial America by delving into the history of our nation through topics that are not traditionally discussed. Topics such as lost colonies, diverse American heroes, and unknown facts of our founding fathers will be discussed. Teachers will gain a perspective on topics that will immerse their students into history using interesting facts, activities, and resources. Ideas on enrichment and differentiation of lessons will be presented as well. Standards covered are Social Studies 2nd-5th grade, African American History, and World History since 1450.
