OUR Instructional Leaders' Conference--Taking Care of YOURSELF and Your Staff--Virtual
The joys and pains of a career in education often go un-discussed. This session dives deep into the personal side of education-- offering crucial advice, empathy, and support. There are six stages educators go through—anticipation, survival, disillusionment, rejuvenation, reflection, and second anticipation—and outlines targeted classroom-management strategies and self-care practices for each. This session will have a dual purpose--providing administrators with strategies for self-care as well as strategies to support staff within their buildings and districts with the goal to increase retention of staff as the education careers become more and more stressful. Dr. Boogren of Solution Tree will present this engaging session.
