SCSC- VIRTUAL Be Real-Online Book Study

Technological advances are rapidly changing the way we work and learn. Artificial intelligence is even replacing employees in some industries. In education, the latest technology supports learning by providing extraordinary opportunities, but artificial intelligence will never replace the life that REAL educators bring to our schools. Dive in with your online community as we read Tara Martins, "Be Real". This book encourages you to share your unique talents and passions as an educator. Participants will receive a copy of the text and be a part of a virtual book study. Initially, there will be one, three hour ZOOM meeting on June 1, 2020. Participants must have a Twitter account, and have access to a computer and/or device for this course. The rest of this workshop will be done virtually. The course will last from June 1, 2020 until July 10, 2020. A total of 18 hours is available for this course if all tasks are completed and on time. TESS Components include: 4a, 4d, 1d.

This training is virtual. For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks).
