WDMESC: OpenSciEd Science Curriculum Units Part 1: Anchoring Phenomenon Routine (Digital Training)

Do you need free, high quality, vetted units of instruction for middle school science?
Join us as we engage in the first of a series of professional development sessions that will guide participants through the anchoring phenomenon routine that initializes the exemplary OpenSciEd instructional materials. The three-hour facilitated interactive online session transitions into a three-hour independent session that gives teachers the opportunity to explore an OpenSciEd unit at middle school grade levels. The goals of OpenSciEd high-quality science units, aligned to the Framework and NGSS, are to ensure any science teacher, anywhere, can access and download freely available, high quality, locally adaptable full-course materials.  This session segues into the next 6-hour session in the OpenSciEd instructional model, the Investigation Routine.
