LHHS: English Dept. Summer PD



Teachers will revise/review essential standards by evaluating the effectiveness of the proficiency scales used during the 2019-20 school year. Literacy will be a major focus as new novel units and lessons are created. Writing assessments will be designed and coordinated. Teachers will review vertical and horizontal alignment making necessary changes. AP Language and AP Literature courses' newest grading rubrics will be discussed with plans to implement in PreAP 10 during the 2020-21 school year. AP 2020 Exams will be evaluated along with released student responses for the first time in the history of the exam.
