SCSC- Take Flight Year: 1, Cohort 2



Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia are curriculum written by the staff of the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia & Learning Disorders at Scottish Rite Hospital. Take Flight introduces participants to concepts related to the identification of a student with specific language disabilities. It is a IMSLEC and IDA accredited program that teaches reading, handwriting, spelling, comprehension, and written expression for students with specific language disabilities, such as dyslexia and related disorders.

Upon completion of the course and the associated practicum, participants will be eligible to sit for the Alliance National Registration Examination and gain national certification through the Academic Language

Participants must sign an MOU with South Central Service Cooperative to attend this training. If any training dates are missed, the participants are responsible for any make-up days on their own. Please contact anna.warriner@scscoop.org to register or for information regarding this course.
