CRESC ACT Aspire Strategies for the Math Classroom Grades 6-8-- VIRTUAL
This session will increase awareness of the effects of ACT Aspire testing in schools, communities, and state. Participants will dive deeper into the Performance Level Descriptors (PLDs) and their connection to the Arkansas State Standards. Participants will also examine the layout of the math section of ACT Aspire and the specific expectations of each grade level. Once teachers have a better understanding of the Aspire assessment and how it affects them and their students, we will breakdown the scoring process of the Justification & Explanation portion. To finish up the day, teachers will explore strategies they can use in their classrooms to help their students be better prepared for the types of questions and skills they will need. The format of this session will be zoom sessions with individual work time for teachers throughout the day.
Important Session Information:
