NWAESC(2246)--TALENTS: Novice Special Educators PLC - Day 1
Novice Special Education Teachers will meet to spend the day learning various ways to more effectively manage their classrooms, help their students develop a culture of respect, rapport and learning, discussing and to have their questions answered by an experienced special educator. This first day with novices will also include discussing ethical and professional decisions as well as introducing them to guide books with which they'll work all year to improve their skills in the classroom. (Focus will be on Domain 2, 3c & Domain 4: Reflection.) The follow-up to this book will be both online with the SPED Mentor and in 3 subsequent face-to-face sessions throughout the year. Introduction to High-Leverage Practices for K-12 SPED teachers. Each participant will develop a personal Special Education Binder. There is NO cost for this forum. Lunch is included. Special guest TBA.
