SCSC - Virtual - Literacy Strategies for CTE

This session is VIRTUAL. Learn some easy Literacy strategies for the Career and Technical Education Classroom. Participants will receive the book "But I'm Not a Reading Teacher!: Literacy Strategies for Career and Technical Educators" by Sandra Adams (Author), Gwendolyn Leininger. This 3 hour session will focus on some ready to use strategies that work specifically well in the CTE classroom. Participants will have the option for an additional 3 hours of guided independent work for further professional development. TESS components addressed: 1A, 1D, 1E, 3C, and 4E.

Important Session Information:

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any trainings.
