The purpose of this session will be to provide an opportunity to gain information regarding the required components of a District Support Plan for all districts that have opted in for the waivers under AR Ready for Learning:
Ensure the continuity of teaching and learning by providing a guaranteed and viable curriculum that includes blended learning (K-12) and diagnostic assessments (K-8)--Identify how to address unfinished learning from the prior year by using the Arkansas Playbook: Addressing Unfinished Learning or district developed resources and Which assessment has your district selected for K-2 and 3-8? RTI for Unfinished Learning and how is RTI being addressed for learning during the year
Utilize a Learning Management System--Name specific items used
Schedule teacher training for how to use the LMS--detail how teachers were trained on the LMS, this is generally provided by vendor
Schedule teacher training for blended learning (delivery of instruction)--Initial training and process for supporting teachers as needs arise through the year--will this support be provided through internal or external resources
Provide support for parents and students--Communication Plan, How is the school/district going to communicate with the parents and the community? Realize many districts use some type of messenger program. If a parent should miss a call, is there a central location online of which everyone is aware and could be referenced. Ideally, social media posts should provide information on why there is school closure and which groups of students impacted
