This two-day online Zoom workshop includes 1 hour home study. Workshop will provide new and veteran paraprofessionals with strategies and resources to be successful as part of the Special Education team. Overview of the following elements will be provided:
Day 1 - Development of SPED Para Binder; Roles and Responsibilities as part of the SPED team; Confidentiality; References for requirements established by state and federal rules and regulations; Strategies for facilitating student independence.
Day 2 - Resources to enhance and improve classroom and behavior management; Data collection strategies; Characteristics and instructional strategies for specific disabilities; Distance Learning Support Overview; Communication strategies; Classroom scenarios.
