GFESC Science of Reading- Content-Area Reading Strategies
Content-Area Reading Strategies is a six hour professional development designed to define reading in the content areas including the skills and techniques that readers need in order to successfully access information across the contents. It will also address the difficulties that some readers may face and offer classroom strategies to ensure that all students are readers in every content area. This training aligns with Pathway D and Pathway U from the ADE Science of Reading list of Prescribed Pathways for Proficiency (http://dese.ade.arkansas.gov/).
