NWAESC(2095)---Critical Reading Day 1: Engaging the Reader (online only)



Day 1 of Critical Reading focuses on Critical Reading I standards and best-practices for engaging even your most reluctant adolescent reader. Objectives include applying specific strategies that engage students with reading, helping students become self-directed readers, applying strategies to help students connect to personal interests, goals and world events, and incorporating engagement strategies into your curriculum. Note: This is an online course only. Participants will be enrolled in Canvas LMS to complete the course. Participants will have 30 days from the start date of this session to complete all requirements for professional development credit.
