MORNING: Booktalks, Book Trailers, and Book Bento Boxes

This interactive session explores motivating students to read through better booktalks, book trailers, and book bento boxes. The participants will create videos and use apps to create motivational pieces for their students. Participants will need access to a laptop/Chromebook, a smart phone and/or an iPad.

AFTERNOON: Booktalks: Books, Books, and More Books

This session will consist of booktalks of approximately 60 middle grade and young adult books with a majority published in the past three years. The booktalks covers many genres. Participants will receive a bibliography of the presented books.

Audience: Librarian/Media Specialists, 4-12 Teachers
