WDMESC: Vicarious Trauma for Educators: Well Aware and Well Prepared (Virtual Workshop)
Communities around the world are reporting higher rates of family violence and many people expect much higher reporting when COVID-19 passes. In taking care of others, it’s easy to forget oneself. Educators and helping professionals are facing greater challenges than those under ordinary conditions. Dr. Kris Bertelsen and Jordan Howard will present about the concept of vicarious trauma, self-care, and steps to reduce the effects of vicarious trauma on educators.
