Arkansas leads the nation in the number of students who have experienced trauma. With the current Covid-19 situation, more students will have experienced trauma than ever before. This session is designed for teachers interested in implementing a trauma-sensitive classroom, including how to structure the physical environment to promote safety, establishing relationships with students and families, supporting regulation, analyzing the language of trauma, and how to address discipline and empowerment.
