Year 2 and beyond - Modeling and Assessment - The purposes
of this session are to come to a deeper understanding of the purposes of
different assessments in the curriculum, and learn to use tools (some released
in the past year) that are designed to help educators meet specific needs of
students. Goals for High School educators also include understanding the
meaning of the “model with mathematics” student mathematical practice and
understanding how to use the modeling prompts provided in the curriculum. Discussions
will include how to use the modeling prompts provided in the curriculum. We
will also investigate specific tools provided to help educators use information
from the pre-assessments and cool downs to meet the needs of students.
