ARESC-Essential Behavior Concepts

Essential Behavior Concepts will explain how behavior is learned and changed through experience. The focus of this training is not to provide a list of behavior interventions, but rather to provide a foundation for understanding behavior that will help facilitate more meaningful analysis and problem-solving of issues related to student behavior. Participants will be introduced to and apply the following concepts: ABC contingency, behavior, antecedents, consequences, setting events, and function. This course may be completed at your own pace. Topics and quizzes must be completed to 100% in order to receive a certificate of completion. The course may be accessed through https://arbss.org/courses-2/.

Important Session Information:

Participants registered through escWorks will have until July 30th to complete the course for credit. After completion of the course, the participant should email the certificate (scanned or screenshot) to walterm@aresc.k12.ar.us and credit will be given in escWorks. A follow-up Q & A Zoom meeting will be held on August 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for participants to interact with Mary Walter, Behavior Support Specialists. https://zoom.us/j/94477237574?pwd=aHRyMjJaNHNGaElzQk5lbzc0Z24zdz09
