NEA - Emotional Poverty

Dr. Ann Webb, a trained Ruby Payne speaker, will facilitate a book study: Emotional Poverty. Participants will discuss when emotional poverty occurs: the brain is not integrated or regulated, the inner self is underdeveloped, bonding and attachment are not secure and the external environment repeatedly reinforces "less than" or "separate from" status. All participants will receive a book which will provide understanding of emotional poverty, tools, and strategies to utilize in classrooms to meet the needs of students who are experiencing emotional poverty.

If you are not under contract with the Northeast Arkansas Education Cooperative or one of our 14 member districts, you will be responsible for all fees related to this workshop.  The fee for this workshop is $25.  Payment is expected the day of the training unless prior arrangements have been made.
