Course 1/Day 1 - Introduction to the Phonics Suite from Really Great Reading. Teachers will receive background knowledge needed to implement the Launchpad Curriculum in their PK4 classrooms, with10 modules that include; Foundational Skills, Decoding, Launchpad’s Structure, Phonological Awareness, Phonemic Awareness, the Alphabetic Principle, Instructional Vocabulary and Concepts of Print. This course will provide the necessary skills and knowledge needed to successfully implement the Launchpad Curriculum.
Course 2/Day 2 - Taking a closer look at the components explored in Course 1 and see how and where those foundational components fit in the Launchpad Curriculum. Teachers will become more familiar with the curriculum’s scope and sequence, key concepts, lesson structure and lesson activities.
