DSC K-2 RISE Day 4 Fluency
Fluency is more than the number of words a student can read in a set amount of time. Day 4 of RISE will clarify the definition of reading fluency. In this session, we will develop an understanding of the role of automaticity of sub-skills required for fluent reading in permanent word storage, discuss the role of repeated readings, and determine which assessments are used to determine who needs fluency instruction.
