SE Special Education Finance Year at a Glance



Josh Hart, DESE-OSE Funding and Finance Program Manager, will provide an in-depth overview of the responsibilities of Local Education Agencies in relation to Special Education funds. Participants will learn the why and how on topics including June 1 application, maintenance of effort, excess cost, private school proportionate share, budget amendments, CEIS/CCEIS, ARP IDEA supplemental funds and allowable expenses. Attendees should bring technology to access MySped, the DESE website, local budgets and ask district specific finance questions.
