DSC Phage Day!
New teaching modules for Virus discovery, PCR, and COVID detection. We have put together a case study activity and an (easy) hands-on wet-lab activity related to PCR and the detection of COVID-19. Do not have lab equipment? No problem, we will teach you how to use the traveling molecular biology STEM kits housed at the Dawson Co-Op. Dawson now has 8 kits for you to check out. All Dawson attendees will receive material and supplies to conduct this lab. Do not stress if this is new to you; we are here to help you get started. Students at Ouachita Baptist University will assist in the day’s events. Science Specialists & OBU may be available to provide support at your school to do the lab with your students!
