NAESC Behavioral Event Interview (BEI) Overview

Every leader knows that quality employees are the key to achieving institutional goals. Taking steps to ensure the best candidate joins your team will ultimately save you time and money. Research proves that Behavioral Event Interviews (BEI) improve the likelihood of hiring the most effective candidates. This rigorous and highly structured protocol also helps eliminate bias in candidate selection, increasing diversity for any organization.

It is easy to recognize the value BEIs bring to any selection process. But it takes extensive training and practice to effectively implement this interview technique. Resolve Talent Consulting helps clients effectively implement this technique on their own.

In this three-hour training session, each participant is introduced to the effectiveness of BEIs, competencies, how to conduct interviews effectively, basic practice, and norming of scores. At the end of this session, the goal is to have each participant at a novice level.
