OUR Advanced Morphology: Vocabulary and Beyond
All teachers know that vocabulary is critical to learning in any subject. In this session, we will examine how a problem-solving approach to morphology supports content area reading fluency, comprehension, spelling, and sentence development. This training is not based on literacy standards, but on the content standards for each content area. Bring your content standards and your curriculum as we dig into each and determine a plan for teaching those word parts so that the learning sticks in long term memory. This session will be offered in person at OUR Cooperative with materials and lunch provided.
*The AETN video with William Van Cleave on IDEAS is recommended prior to this session.
