Complexities of the differentiated classroom present challenges for teachers, creating positive relationships with students, creating a respectful classroom culture, what motivates students?, strategic management versus shooting from the hip, tying behavior to achievement, find out what is behind the behavior and address it, including students from poverty in the classroom culture, using empathy as a tool for motivation and achievement, engaging parents as allies to help students behave and achieve, using Danielson’s Framework for Teaching to improve management, promoting a Student-Focused Classroom

These sessions incorporate high leverage practices and the Marzano research on the art and science of teaching.
