GFESC Teaching Gifted in the Secondary
The characteristics of gifted learners and their particular educational and affective needs will be presented as well as how to differentiate core content for gifted learners in the 6-hours professional development session along with the submission of a lesson plan. All teachers of mathematic, science, social studies or English formally serving identified gifted students enrolled in a secondary content option who have not been Pre-Advanced Placement trained in their content area must attend this entire workshop for completion of the required training and submit a lesson plan demonstrating differentiation for gifted students.
